NEA International Projects

In 2006 NEA decided it would be within its objectives to support a number of educational and social projects outside the United Kingdom.  In practice this was not a new departure for NEA – for over half a century people from all but a handful of countries around the globe have found a welcome at Netherhall House, Grandpont House and the other NEA centres and for many years groups from NEA centres have undertaken social service projects abroad.

NEA’s decision now enables support to be given to projects of organisations which share NEA’s vision of helping people to fulfil their potential for the service of others. In addition to overseas work camps described elsewhere, projects supported by NEA include:

Lantana Heights Project, Trinidad
Grant for development of training centre

Strathmore College, Kenya
Support for bursary within Africa’s first multiracial education project

Ugwuoma Study Centre, Nigeria
Grant for development works

Educational and Development Initiatives, Sri Lanka
Grant for development of activities

Our most recently adopted project is:
Saxum Project, Holy Land
Multimedia Resource Centre for pilgrims and Conference Centre for retreats
